Recently showcased at the New York Motor Show, Nissan GT-R is all set to debut in the Indian market on September, 2016. Earlier the Japanese auto maker had announced at the 2016 Auto Expo that the Nissan GT-R is scheduled for a pre-festive season, one can expect a price tag of around Rs 1.6 to 1.9 crore. Once launched the Godzilla, as popularly known will compete against the the Audi R8 V10 and Porsche 911 Turbo S.

Inside the hood, the Nissan GT-R will be powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 motor that churns out 550 PS of power and 612Nm of torque. The super advanced all-wheel drive system in the GT-R allows this 1.8-tonne vehicle to accelerate from 0-100kmph in under 3 seconds and gives it immense grip around the corners.

The GT-R is all about sheer speed. As a result, from the overall design to the smallest details, Nissan has focused on keeping the design as aerodynamic as possible. The new Nissan GT-R will have a new front fascia with a revised ‘V-Motion’ grille that is the new Nissan family look. While the uninspiring look of the front-end isn’t the most impressive piece of design in the supercar world, the GT-R makes up for it with its jet fighter-style canopy, striking multi spoke alloys and that massive rear wing. Lastly, the signature Skyline look at the rear is courtesy the traditional four-ring taillights, while air flow below the vehicle is handled by the carbon fibre underbody diffuser. The new GT-R will get an updated front splitter providing even more downforce than ever before along with two large intakes in the front bumper. The new GT-R also gets a new daytime running light setup in the front bumper along with a new update headlamp unit that gets an additional daytime running light setup. The rear too gets small updates including a new rear splitter, slightly updated exhausts and slightly updated tail lamps.

Look inside the cabin, the new GT-R gets an updated leather wrapped dashboard with a new central console. The new GT-R also gets a new infotainment screen which is now a larger 8-inch console with more data showcased. The supercar also gets a more comfortable set of seats, a new steering wheel and new paddle shifters. The new GT-R will also get active noise cancellation and acoustic glass with active sound deadening to offer a more comfortable driving position.
