Rolls Royce is also continuing to be a pioneer in technology as well, and an all-electric prototype Phantom is already under extensive development and testing. Car prices will rise a min of Rs 5,000 after Union Budget
Car prices are set to rise in India, after a 2 % hike in basic excise duty from the present 10% to the proposed 12 %. Additionally, excise duty on large cars will also increase from 22% presently to 24%. However, the government has decided against imposing a ‘diesel tax’, a move which has brought some respite to car-makers in the country.
Rolls Royce launches updated Phantom Series II
The ‘best car in the world’ just got better. BMW-owned Rolls Royce has announced the first updates for the Phantom family since the model was launched almost a decade ago, in 2003. The new Phantom Series II gets some minor styling tweaks, notably to the bumpers and headlights.
