Mitsubishi Cars in India

Mitsubishi is a Japanese car company, which is best known for its Lancer-derived Evo range of rally cars. However, Mitsubishi also makes some excellent sedans and SUVs, all of which have earned cult status in the niche that they serve. Mitsubishi cars in India are assembled at a factory in Tamil Nadu, in collaboration with Hindustan Motors. The factory produces the Lancer and Cedia sedans, and the Pajero SUV. The Montero and Outlander SUVs are fully-imported as CBUs, as is the Ferrari-eating Lancer EVO X. Mitsubishi's Indian innings isn't much to talk about, especially since most of the range is outdated. However, there are plans to revive the brand in India, with substantial investment from Japan.
