MINI Cars in India
How do you categorise MINI? An icon by itself, the original Mini brought such a fresh approach to car-making that it arguably changed the way cars have since been made the world over. Today's MINI however, is more a stylised, chic and urbane status symbol than a bare-basics motorcar. BMW, as custodian of the brand, has done an admirable job in spinning off this simple premise into a wide product portfolio today. MINI today is probably more at home touring downtown Mumbai or Milan than B-town India, a car more for the swish set rather than the bank clerk or school teacher.
