Land Rover Cars in India
Land Rover began operations in the 1940s, when it began production of the original Defender, which was simply known as the Land Rover. From there, the company evolved to produce the luxurious Range Rover series. The brand was agalmated into British Leyland, and then sold to Ford. At the time, the brand evolved two more model ranges, namely the Discovery and the Freelander. When Ford decided to hive of Land Rover (along with Jaguar), it was purchased by Tata Motors. The latest model from the company is the new Range Rover Evoque. Indian sales of Land Rover started in 2009.
