Fiat Linea New Car Overview

The Fiat Linea was launched on the Bosphorus strait in Turkey, symbolic as the border between Asia and Europe. The Linea was intended to be a global car, to be built and sold in markets all over the world. In India though, the Fiat Linea has to be just about the most under-rated car in its class. The Indian-built Linea has a 90 PS version of the Multijet diesel, and also has a 1.4-litre petrol in naturally aspirated form. The turbo-petrol Linea T-Jet however has to the engine of choice for the enthusiastic driver. With 120 PS and 200 Nm of torque, it really matches the chassis' excellent dynamics. The Linea's beautiful styling and long list of features make it a good option indeed. Now, if only Fiat could back it up wih good after-sales and service support.

Probably the most VFM car in the bracket. A part from the rich feature list it come s with the very well sorted driving dynamics thanks to the supportive chasis and strong built. The car can be thrown on corners without a second thought. The engine is award winning for its fuel efficiency which brings to near 21 on highways and 18 in city. The torque range is high staring at 1500 RPM and goes upto 4000 RPM the engine feels stressed at 150 but after 155 the engine is free reving and goes upto 190kmph which is again class leading. The 205 section tyres make other cars punny and the new raised ground clearance of 195 mm is best for indian road conditions. I ve driven it to Rohtag Pass and could eaisly manouveour on the bad surfaced road. The 93 ps might look small on papers but in real terms it is a lot. Equally priced Sunny/Verna 1.4 are nowhere near in terms of driving or power.
