Renault Latitude New Car OverviewThe Renault Latitude is under consideration for an India-market launch. The largest car in the French car-makers product line-up, the Renault Latitude measures almost 5 metres in length. The Latitude is a luxury car, boasting features such as a two-part sunroof, Bose surround sound audio system, triple-zone AC, leather upholstery, massaging seats etc. A large number of engine options are available, but for India two engines ar expected to be offered. These include a 2.5-litre petrol V6 (shared with the Nissan Teana) and a 2.0-litre dCi diesel, producing 150 or 175 PS (currently offered in the Renault Koleos). Both manual and automatic transmission options could be offered on the Renault Latitude. Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt Ltd (RNAIPL) is currently evaluating a business case for the same. If commercially viable, the Latitude could go on sale in India towards the end of 2013, with prices starting from the Rs 20 lakh mark. |
