Audi Launches A8 L 4.2 TDI q Variant In India

Audi unveiled the new Audi A8 L sedan with a 4.2 TDI engine. Priced at Rs 10,075,000 onwards, ex-showroom Maharashtra, the vehicle will be available at all showrooms across India. The Audi A8 L was unveiled by Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.

Audi currently offers three variants of the A8L in India, the base 3.0 TDI Quattro, the mid-level 4.2 FSI petrol and the top-of-the-line 6.3 W12 quattro. The new 4.2 TDI Quattro will be placed between the 4.2 FSI and the 6.3 W12.

The 4.2 TDI is a V8 engine. It generates maximum power of 355 PS and delivers 800 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2750 rpm. According to Audi, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been cut on average by 15 percent. The car accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 5.6 seconds.

The length and wheelbase have both been stretched by 13 centimetres as compared to the standard normal version wheelbase to measure 5.27 meters, offering more space to rear seat passengers.

Some of the standard features of the new Audi A8 L 4.2 TDI are pre sense basic safety system for avoiding accidents and for minimising their consequences, eight-speed tiptronic transmission and all-wheel drive.

The new Audi A8 L 4.2 TDI also comes with optional features like sunroof, LED headlights, power-adjustable individual rear seats with the rear executive seat package, night vision assistant with pedestrian marking and Bang & Olufsen sound system.
