Further building on its recent excellent track record in the sales wing, the Volkswagen Group has registered a strong growth in worldwide deliveries for the full year 2012 and bettered the prior-year sales record.
The ŠKODA Fabia and Roomster models from now on will sport the new ŠKODA vehicle logo. In another significant move, these two cars will also flaunt the ŠKODA lettering for the first time. The brand name and the respective model name will be attached on the vehicle rear besides additional designations such as TSI or TDI in a new typeface.
Skoda Auto India has recorded a robust growth of 39 per cent in September 2012 vis-à-vis the same month last year. Its cumulative sales output for September 2012 accounted for 2312 cars compared with 1670 cars sold in September 2011.
ŠKODA Auto India has clocked a towering growth of 89 percent for June 2012 over the same month in 2011. ŠKODA Auto India’s total sales amassed a total 4,923 cars last month vs. 2610 units registered in June 2011. The Rapid has turned out to be top draw in ŠKODA fleet as it delivered 3246 units in June, 2012.
Volkswagen has embarked upon ‘all out’ initiative to fulfil its Strategy 2018, a mega marketing plan for China with massive reshuffle across its structural and management verticals. This step was initiated following the Supervisory Board’s consent to the planned restructure at a high-level meeting.
