The Chevrolet Sail sedan will replace the Chevrolet Aveo sedan and compete with entry level sedans like Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios and Tata Indigo.

The company said that the decision to revise prices was prompted by the rising input costs, the depreciation of the Rupee and hike in freight charges. The hike will mean that prices of Chevrolet cars will go up by Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000 depending on the choice of model and variant.
