renault to spend rs 6.5 crore on its f1 promotion in india

 

Renault India has lined up a marketing spend of Rs 6.5 crore for the F1 Grand Prix, scheduled to be held at the Buddh International Circuit, Noida from October 28.

 "We have a lot of events around the F1 GP and we are investing Rs. 6.5 crore for the event," Len Curran, vice president, sales and marketing, Renault India, said. He added, "Apart from the engines on the cars, we will display an F1 car, hold events at malls using race simulators so that winners get invites to the GP. We have campaigns with Yahoo and animation at our showrooms, where tickets can be won."

Renault chairman, Carlos Ghosn, will unveil the concept version of the hatchback  which is likely to be launched in India in the first quarter of 2012.

Renault India Achieves Tenfold Growth YOY in April 2013

Renault India Pvt. Ltd. sold 6,314 units in April overcoming a challenging market to continue the company’s growth trend. With 615 units sold in April 2012, Renault India saw over tenfold increase in sales year on year.

Auto Sales Stagnant Over Last 12 Months

It hasn't been the best of years for the Indian auto industry. Data compiled by the Society of Indian Autmobile Manufacturers (SIAM) shows that over the past 12 months, production has grown by just 1.2 %, from April 2012 till March 2013. The industry produced 1,685,355 vehicles in March 2013 as against 1,845,868 in March 2012, which declined by (-) 8.70 percent.
