P.M. Telang
P.M. Telang, Managing Director, India Operations, Tata Motors has finally bid adieu to the company after serving the company for four decades. He has stepped down from his position following reaching the age of superannuation.
Since, a suitable person to fill up Telang’s position is yet to be finalized, the overall responsibility of the firm would now be looked after by an interim committee comprising of Chairman Ratan Tata and Vice-Chairman Ravi Kant as an ad hoc measure.
It is to be noted that Telang started his career with Larsen & Toubro. After a short stint with L&T for three years, he joined the Tata group through Tata Administrative Service cadre way back in 1972.
He was associated in the departments of product development, manufacturing, sales and marketing functions of Light and Small commercial vehicles wing.
Telang became the Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles) of Tata Motors in 2007 and was promoted to the position of Managing Director - India operations three years back.
On the other hand, Tata Motors has inducted two new Executive Directors:

R. Pisharody
Ravindra Pisharody, President – Commercial Vehicles Business Unit, has been appointed as the Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles). An alumni of IIT, Kharagpur, and IIM – Calcutta, Pisharody has been with Tata Motors for the last five years. He has over three decades of working experience in sales, marketing, and business development.

Satish Borwankar
Satish Borwankar, Senior Vice-President (Manufacturing Operations – Commercial Vehicles Business Unit), has been appointed as the Executive Director - Quality, Vendor Development & Strategic Sourcing for Tata Motors. An alumni of IIT, Kanpur,Borwankar has been with Tata Motors for 38 long years. During his stint with this company he has brushed with several key positions in manufacturing and quality functions areas.
