Nissan today launched its new MPV for India, named the Evalia. The Evalia will be the third vehicle to be built in India by Nissan, following the Micra and Sunny.
The Evalia is a seven-seat MPV with a flexible interior which allows the vehicle users to configure the seats according to requirement. It has a sliding rear door for easy access, and the boxy body, while quite ugly to look at ensures maximum interior space.

The Nissan Evalia is built on a monocoque platform, and will be powered by the familiar K9 series 1.5-litre diesel engine from Alliance partner Renault. The new Nissan Evalia should go on sale by July, and will be priced between the Maruti Ertiga and the Toyota Innova. While Nissan officials were tight-lipped about the Evalia's price, we feel this spacious MPV will start around the Rs 7.5 lakh mark.
