Nissan has launched its new Sunny sedan in Mumbai today. The Sunny will be available in three variants - XE, XL and XV, and is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The car will go on sale immediately, with deliveries expected to commence by October 3.
The three variants of the new Nissan Sunyy are priced accordingly:
Nissan Sunny XE - Rs 5,78,000
Nissan Sunny XL - Rs 6,88,000
Nissan Sunny XV - Rs 7,68,000
At the price, the Suny is exceedingly good value for money. Event the base XE version comes with power steering, air conditioning, power windows, central locking and anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA). A driver's side airbag is standard as well. The next version, XL, adds a rear defogger, music system, remote central locking, wheel covers, and a rear blower to re-circulate the cool air in the cabin. The top of the line XV variants gets 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, and smart keyless entry push button smart.
At this price, Nissan has truly re-aligned the expectations of the market, and will surely cause many other manufacturers to review their pricing strategy.

Nissan's Duster Based SUV To Be Called Terrano
Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd (NMIPL) is gearing up to launch its own version of the Renault Duster compact SUV. The Japanese auto maker has officially announced the name of its Duster-based SUV, the Terrano, and has revealed a sketch of the new model, planned for a Diwali launch in 2013.
