Force-Gurkha-RFC-India-2016-6-S.jpg The fourth edition of the Force Gurkha Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India, to be held in Goa from July 22 to 30, 2017, has witnessed a record 40 entries. This includes 8 entries from Hyderabad, 7 from Kerala, 4 teams from Mumbai, 7 from Karnataka including 4 entries from Bangalore, 3 teams each from Goa, Delhi and Chandigarh, 2 from Pune, 2 from Tamil Nadu and 1 entry from Yamunanagar.

Force-Gurkha-RFC-India-2016-Winners-S.jpg After creating history in July at Force Gurkha RFC India 2016 by becoming the first Indian duo to win the country toughest off-road motorsport event, Gerrari Offroaders Chandigarh Gurmeet Virdi and Kirpal Singh Tung are all set to hoist the Indian flag in the Malaysian soil at the 20th edition of the Rainforest Challenge (RFC) Grand Final.

Force-Gurkha-RFC-India-2016-9-S.jpg Merwyn Lim (co-driver Hamizan Bin Abdul Hamid) of Force Motors, who was at the second position so far, has snatched the top slot from Gerrari Offroaders Chandigarh’s Gurmeet Virdi (co-driver Kirpal Singh Tung) in the Terminator leg of the competition. Merwyn’s score after the completion of Special Stages 19-24 is 1937 out of 2400 while Gurmeet Virdi is at 1897 points.

Force-Gurkha-RFC-India-2016-6-S.jpg Despite an extremely tough day filled with several hardships including a steering failure during the Terminator Special Stages (SS13-18), Gurmeet Virdi (co-driver Kirpal Singh Tung) of Gerrari Offroaders Chandigarh managed to retain the top spot at Force Gurkha RFC India 2016 with a total score of 1472 points out of 1800.

Force-Gurkha-RFC-India-2016-5-S.jpg In an exciting turn of events, Gurmeet Virdi (co-driver Kirpal Singh Tung) of Gerrari Offroaders Chandigarh climbed up the ranks and took the lead on the second day of Force Gurkha RFC India 2016 with a total score of 987 out of 1200. Gurmeet, who was at the third position after Day 1 of the event, performed extremely well in Prologue Special Stages (SS) 7-12 with 90 points in three of the Stages.
