- Tata Indigo eCS review - The Original Compact Sedan
Introduction
After two years of launching its budget sedan, the Indigo CS, Tata Motors came up with a new range of Indigo CS called the Indigo eCS series. This new car’s engine is BS IV emission norms compliant which make the car eligible to be sold in the 13 cities which have upgraded to BS IV emission norms. The car is built on the erstwhile Indica platform, utilising much of the same underpinnings including the suspension, chassis and engines. The Indigo CS was the original compact sedan, designed to take advantage of the excise duty benefits applicable to cars less than four metres long. It was an engineering master-stroke from Tata, and the fact that Maruti has chosen a similar approach for the new Dzire is a good indicator of the value of the concept.

Tata Motors’ journey as a car maker isn’t that old. But its utility-vehicle derived heritage nonetheless, Tata Motors has evolved into a maker of modern cars, fit for sale in markets around the world. In some ways, the Aria is the boldest statement from Tata yet, and is the biggest and most expensive passenger vehicle to emerge from its factories.
The original Safari, launched in 1998, well and truly took the market by storm, being the first ‘upmarket’ product in that space. Fourteen years later, here we have it – the new Tata Safari Storme. We drive the new Safari Storme on a brief off-road course and some broken terrain, while also quickly putting it through its paces on the twisty hills around Pune. Does the new Safari have enough in its armoury to take the Indian SUV market by Storme?

Tata Indigo eCS Review
I am bit disappointment with my Indigo. Though it comes with a boot space, its overall performance is quite disheartening. I want to get rid of this car.
Indigo eCS is a fabulous car with nominal glitches. It is a good family car offering spacious interior. Moreover, it is a great seadan that can be easily parked anywhere.
over all indigo is a very good vehicle, interms of style look, performance.only the defect is silencer which is fitted incorrect.because when ever we go tours, adventure etc surface frm the ground is less chances of damage is more specially in indian roads.
a great car for a entry level young professional. i have fitted cng to it and it gives excellent mileage, cost is rs.2/km . internal spacing is also perfect and drive comfort is excellent with great turning radius helping out in trafic driving in cities.`
This is a very good car for daily use. Easy to handle. Only at times the sound when we accelerate is a little irritating. Overall a good car.
