Next-gen Hyundai Elantra due in 2012
A source within Hyundai has comfirmed to autojunction.in that the all-new Elantra will be assembled at the company's Chennai facility. Another exponent of Hyundai's new 'Fluidic' design language, the new Elantra will be the second car to boast the sharp cuts and prominent lines characterisitc of this design language.

All-new Hyundai Eon hatchback set for October launch in India
The Hyundai Eon will be Hyundai’s new small car for India. Based on a reworked version of the Santro platform, the Hyundai Eon will also use a Santro-derived three-cylinder petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The word Eon means “long period of time”, and this gives some indication of Hyundai’s dreams for its new baby.

Hyundai to launch Technical Training Center in Ghana

Hyundai Motor Company, in association with KOICA and PLAN Korea, plan to introduce a technical training center for automobile repair in a number of African and Asian nations, starting with Ghana. The project intends to facilitate young people in the under-developed areas support themselves.

Hyundai evaluating stand-alone dealerships for upcoming new Sonata and Elantra

Hyundai Motor India Pvt Ltd is evaluating the possibility of selling its new sedan range, which will include the new Sonata, due in April and later the Elantra, from stand-alone dealerships. These dealerships would be separate from the "regular" Hyundai sales points, which retail the rest of the Korean car-makers product range.
