Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), recently organised the ‘Tri-Nation Escape 2013’, under the Mahindra Adventure umbrella brand. Held between October 20 and 31, 2013, this drive across India, Nepal and Bhutan, covered a distance of nearly 3,000km. Twenty five adventure-ready vehicles and five services vehicles traversed three countries starting from New Delhi and finishing in Bagdogra over a span of 11 days.

The expedition went through Nepal, while making stops at the country’s famous ancient city, Pokhara, known for its lake and fabulous views of the Annapurna range. The second stop in Nepal was at the holy town of Kathmandu, a modern mix of tradition, culture and urbanisation.

From Nepal the convoy traversed through Bhutan - a land of happy people, breathtaking monasteries and beautiful roads. Driving across international borders and covering nearly 3,000km while experiencing the rich cultural and ethnic diversity, left the participants asking for more.

Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “Mahindra Adventure aims to provide adrenaline pumping off road and on road challenges and road trips for SUV enthusiasts in the country.  We are pleased to conclude the second season of our international event - the ‘Tri-Nation Escape’. Through this road trip we celebrated the incredible landscape of our region, as the convoy of vehicles passed through our neighbouring countries of Nepal and Bhutan. All the participants experienced the drive of their lifetime while enjoying the spectacular panorama along the way and also experienced the unique cultures of the countries visited resulting in some very unforgettable memories.”
