The Round 4 of the 2013 YZF-R15 One Make Race Championship came to an end at the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai after a sensational beginning. A comprehensive crowd of racing enthusiasts at the race track to applaud the racers. The contest is yet to conduct one more round to go in December 2013 before it finally draws its curtain. The racing event is being held in partnership with the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) and the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) and is a key wing of the Indian National Racing Championship 2013. 
 
There was a presence of 31 participants in the Novice category of round 4, out of which the top 15 qualified for the race. There were a couple of races conducted for the qualifiers of the Novice category. The outcomes for the same were as follows:

The total participants in Open class were 21 in total, out of which top 16 made the cut. Again, there were two races conducted for the qualifiers of the Open category. The final standings for the same were as follows:

The contestants emerged on the track on Yamaha’s Super Sports YZF-R15 and encountered the incredible acceleration of the bike on a race circuit. Packed with true Yamaha racing DNA, YZF-R15 ensured comprehensive racing experience to the biking fans and hands on feel of its power, constancy, cornering and braking. Yamaha made their experience more thrilling by loading Daytona Racing Kits on the bikes. These kits are made using valuable experience gained from MotoGP and World Superbike racing and are designed exclusively for racing drive in a closed circuit.

The winners of the R15 One make Race championship 2013 will bag an opportunity to compete in the Yamaha ASEAN Cup 2013 to be held later this year.
 
 
The technology in YZF-R15 has its roots in R1 (Deltaboxframe/Fuel Injection/6 speed gearbox/styling/Liquid Cooled 4V engine). In close line with the R1, it is light weight, has power on demand, besides having centralized mass, stopping power, aerodynamics, ergonomics and stability/rigidity, among others. It also has the controllability and maneuverability to maximize riding/cornering/braking performance. 
 
 
Yamaha’s R15 One Make Race Championship is being hailed as one of the company’s biggest ventures to take racing culture to newer heights in India and this event has proved to be very successful in its goal to spread the racing spirit as well as to promote safe biking culture in India.
