IN THE MANUAL OF ALTO F8 IT IS SPECIFIED TO USE ENGINE OILS OF GRADES API SF/API SG AND API SH WITH CATALYTIC CONVERTER COMPATIBILITY OF CD.WILL IT CAUSE HARM TO THE ENGINE IF I USE ENGINE OIL OF HIGHER GRADE LIKE CASTROL MAGNATEC API SM CF AND FULL SYNTHETIC OILS LIKE PETRONAS SYNTIUM 5000 0W 40

Answer

 

Dear Bhargav, It is best to stick to the recommended grade of oil. Using a superior grade of oil will not harm your car's engine in any way, but don't expect any huge gains in performance or fuel economy either.
